  1. Changes in Windows 9x/ME Task Manager 0.9.7 (Beta)

  4. Changes:
  5.   - Program had a memory leak and was using an incredible amount of CPU
  6.     usage no matter what tab you were viewing. All tabs now use around or
  7.     less than one percent of CPU usage and memory leak is no longer present.
  8.   - Cleaned up code (IT NEEDED IT!). Reduced executable size, but added
  9.     features brought it up.
  10.   - Changed Hard Drive box with Swap File information. Moved labels so
  11.     they're concurrent with each other.
  12.   - Added Select Column support, you can now select which columns
  13.     you wish you view on the processes tab.
  14.   - Task Manager now saves window state. (which means you resize it
  15.     and when you close it then reopen the program, it comes back
  16.     the same size.)
  17.   - Changed the way the Task Manager displays process names. It no
  18.     longer shows "KERNEL32.DLL", it was replaced with "System". It also
  19.     shows the correct DOS Filename in Processes tab.

  21. Bug fixes:

  23.   - We got many reports of the Hard Drive box on the Performance tab
  24.     being misreported by the Task Manager. It has been removed.

  26. Known Issues:

  28.   - Virtual Memory is being misreported. This is a Windows API issue,
  29.     it will not be fixed until Microsoft fixes this issue or provides
  30.     a work around.
  31.   - In rare cases, CPU Usage is always at 100%, This is another Microsoft
  32.     issue, it has been identified and reported by Microsoft as a known issue
  33.     in 9x/ME. Please visit the Microsoft Knowledge Base for more information
